Methodologies for the analysis and characterization of gypsum in soils: A review

چکیده

This paper reviews the main methodologies and techniques that have been used to characterize gypsum in soils, especially in gypsiferous soils of semiarid and arid regions and range from the identification of gypsum in soil surveys in the field to the study of gypsum in the laboratory. Many methods of gypsum identification and determination have been developed, each one with its own limitations. The paper reviews the study of gypsum from different points of view, complementary and necessary to obtain a general overview of the methodologies used to study gypsum in soils. q 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. The Appraisal use of Gypsum for Reclamation of Solin and Sodice Soils in Southern Khuzestan

Soil correction is one of the ways in agriculture lands development. The sodic ion alongside salin vocalizes the salin-sodic soil and cause divulge in plants growth. So necessary coure of action for the Soil correction by physical and chemical ways such as usage of calsium on the leaching is inevitable. In this study, area soils are digged from deep profiles of 0-20, 20-40, 40-60, 60-80 and 80-...

Investigation of the effect of amount and size of gypsum particles on its performance in the improvement of saline and sodium soils

Extended abstract 1- Introduction Gypsum, sulfuric acid, and sulfur are used to improve saline and sodic soils. In some cases, animal manures are also used, which varies according to environmental conditions and soil type (Jesus et al., 2019). Industrial gypsum is often used to modify saline and sodic soils due to electrolyte maintenance, physical and hydraulic properties (Keren, 1996), low c...

Evaluating the Effectiveness of Animal Nano-Fertilizer and Biological and Chemical Amendments in the Reclamation of Saline Soils

Introduction: Saline soil contains large amounts of soluble salts. In addition to natural factors affecting soil salinization such as climate, topography, and abundance of evaporative formations in the region, the human factors that result from incorrect management of the agricultural system (such as using low-quality water for irrigation, overuse of chemical fertilizers, the frequency of irrig...
